BLUE ANGEL

I found this wonderful sculpture that was a bit damaged and decided to fix her wounds and add some elegance to her countenance.

​I usually start with a sketch.

I decided this would be a good project to use my stash of vintage blue and white china.  
To start the construction I used:

• Plaster cast wrap/ Rigid wrap
• thinset
• wire
• new base

​As you can see I've used some blue tape to help stabilize the china.

I'm just starting work on the back.  This sculpture is about 24" tall.
